— Why Balanza

The difference is in what we do not skip.

Most watch care is straightforward — what separates one workshop from another is the care taken with each step. Here is what that looks like at Balanza.

Six reasons people bring their watches here

Assessment first, work second

Nothing touches the bench until we have looked at the piece and talked through what it needs.

Pressure-tested seals

After any seal or gasket work, the water-resistance rating is confirmed by instrument, not assumption.

Clear communication

Scope and cost confirmed before work begins. No surprises at collection.

Matched finishing

Brushed or polished surfaces are finished to match the original specification, not a generic standard.

Corporate-ready handover

Gifting orders are engraved, packaged and checked before they leave. Procurement teams receive a tidy, presentation-ready result.

Local, accessible workshop

Si Chan Road, Khon Kaen — easy to find, walk-in friendly, with a schedule that holds.

Each benefit, explained

Workshop Expertise

01 — Skill

Watch care relies on accumulated familiarity with different case materials, finish types and construction methods. Our team has worked across steel, titanium and gold-plated cases, with brushed, satin and mirror-polished surfaces. That range matters when a piece arrives with mixed finishing across different sections.

For quartz servicing, knowing which gasket profiles suit which case designs — and understanding how to verify the result with a pressure test rather than eye judgement — is what keeps a watch dependable after the service is done.

Methodical Process

02 — Process

Every service follows a consistent sequence: assessment, written confirmation of scope and cost, work, check, collection. Nothing is assumed, and no stage is skipped to save time. If a step reveals something unexpected, we contact the customer before continuing.

For corporate orders, the sequence includes a text proofing stage before engraving and a batch-level condition check before handover. Organisations working to a delivery date benefit from a process that handles the detail without requiring them to chase it.

Direct, Unhurried Service

03 — Service

Customers speak to the people doing the work, not a reception layer. Questions are answered directly. If something about the piece is worth noting — good or concerning — we say so at the time, not after the fact.

The workshop runs on a manageable number of jobs at any one time, which means attention does not get distributed too thinly. A watch that arrives is dealt with in the order it came in, and the person who dropped it off knows where it is in the sequence.

Pricing That Makes Sense

04 — Value

Our three services carry clear starting prices — ฿3,500 for case polishing, ฿9,100 for corporate gifting preparation, and ฿12,250 for quartz care and seal check. These reflect realistic work for standard cases.

If a piece involves additional complexity — a mixed finish requiring separate treatment of each zone, a corroded crown thread, or a larger corporate batch — we discuss the adjustment before proceeding. The customer decides with full information.

Results That Hold

05 — Outcomes

A polished case should look tidy without showing marks from the finishing process. A serviced quartz watch should keep its water-resistance rating and run on its new cell without crown or gasket issues. A corporate gift should arrive with clean engraving, undamaged packaging and a watch in working order.

These are the outcomes customers can expect, and they are what we check for before any piece leaves the workshop.

— What We Offer That Others Don't

Distinct aspects of our service

Engraving Proofing Stage

Before any engraving work proceeds, the exact text is shown to the customer or procurement contact in written form. Changes at this stage cost nothing. Changes after the work is done cost considerably more — at other workshops. We remove that risk.

Instrument-Based Seal Verification

Water-resistance ratings are not visual estimates. After any gasket work, we run a calibrated pressure test to confirm the original specification is maintained. The result is shared when the watch is collected.

Mixed-Finish Case Handling

Cases with both brushed and polished sections — common on contemporary steel watches — are treated with different abrasives for each zone. The result matches the original, not a single-pass generic polish.

Behind-the-Scenes Corporate Service

HR and procurement teams receive a coordinated service — not a consumer queue. Batch orders are handled with a single point of contact, written engraving confirmation, and a collection handover organised around the team's schedule.
